The range
A flavour of what we make. Almost everything is personalised — your wording, your dates, your colour palette. The categories below are the most common asks but they're far from exhaustive. If you have an idea that doesn't sit in one of these buckets, write to us and we'll see what we can do.
Wedding aisle signs and ceremony décor
Wedding pieces make up roughly half of what we ship through the spring and summer. The most-requested types:
- Welcome signs, usually 60×40 cm, hand-lettered with the couple's names and wedding date, often with the ceremony or reception venue.
- Ceremony arrows — small directional signs ("Ceremony this way", "Reception →", "Cocktails →") in matching style.
- Mr & Mrs / Mr & Mr / Mrs & Mrs plaques for the top table or the photo backdrop.
- Table numbers and seating plans — individual small plaques per table, or a single larger seating-plan piece.
- Aisle markers — pew-end signs, "Here comes the bride" plaques, ring-bearer signs.
- Photo-corner signs — "Find your favourite photo" or similar prompts for the reception.
Christening, naming day, and nursery
Christening plaques tend to be smaller and more detailed than wedding pieces. We've made several thousand of these.
- Name plaques with the child's full name, date of birth, and (where requested) the date of christening or naming ceremony.
- Scripture plaques — verses chosen by the family, often passed down through generations. Common requests include Numbers 6:24–26, Psalm 139, and Matthew 19:14.
- Nursery wall designs — name-and-meaning plaques, milestone plaques (first words, first steps, first tooth), and quote plaques.
- Godparent plaques — gifts from godparents to the child, or vice versa.
Family and occasion plaques
Pieces that aren't tied to a specific ceremony but mark something the family wants to remember.
- Family-name plaques — "The Hendersons" for a hallway, "Welcome to the Greens" for a porch.
- "Established" plaques, for a couple or a household, with the year.
- Anniversary keepsakes (wedding, work, partnership) usually with the year and a short quote.
- Retirement plaques — leaving gifts with a personal reference to the recipient's career or interests.
- Memorial pieces — small commemorative plaques, usually with the person's name, dates, and a short verse or quote.
Materials and finishes
We work with three main substrates depending on the design:
- Plywood. Our default for most pieces. Strong, takes paint and lettering well, light enough to ship affordably.
- MDF, for pieces where we want the cleanest possible painted finish. Better for indoor display.
- Solid hardwood (oak, ash, walnut), for memorial pieces, heirloom keepsakes, and anything the customer wants to last generations.
Finishes include matt and gloss painted, stained-and-clear-coated, and natural wax. We can match a colour from a photo or fabric sample if you have a specific palette in mind.
Sizes
Smaller name plaques start around 15×10 cm. A typical wedding welcome sign is 60×40 cm. The largest piece we've made was a 120×80 cm anniversary plaque for a couple's fortieth. Anything in between is doable.
Pricing
We don't publish fixed prices because every plaque is personalised. Most pieces fall between £25 and £180 depending on size, materials, and lettering complexity. Wedding welcome signs at the standard 60×40 cm size are typically £80–£120. Christening name plaques typically £30–£60. Memorial hardwood pieces typically £100–£200. We'll quote on the specifics when you write in.
